Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR and Business Process Analyst is responsible for collaborating across departments such as HR, Finance and Information Technology while collecting data and advising in the alignment of related business processes. This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems and drives process improvements through data and workflow analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in either human resources, information systems, business administration, or related field
6+ years of experience in HR systems support, reporting and analytics, or related roles
Excellent understanding of Human Resources functions and related business processes and workflows
Project management experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience developing complex spreadsheets and working in HRIS and other database systems
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and perform and prioritize a variety of tasks
Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Criminal record check clearance
Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportatio

Responsibilities:

Participate in projects and initiatives that enhance position control processes and systems, human resources information system (HRIS) management, and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Obtain, document, and analyze requirements, processes, and workflows; maintain accurate and up-to-date related documentation; make process and workflow improvement recommendations to interested parties.
Work closely with key interested parties to understand needs, objectives, and challenges.
Coordinate with principals, managers, information technology, and finance to ensure appropriate management of position allocations and staffing levels.
Maintain district position control by ensuring all positions are accurately recorded and coded.
Audit HR data and related processes
Provide HRIS troubleshooting by communicating with information technology or system helpdesk to obtain solutions to issues or errors with HRIS.
Ensure data integrity in the district’s HRIS by identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
Collect, present and communicate data to key interested parties.
Lead the rollout and implementation of related processes.
Review requisitions and assignments, including reconciling vacancies with approved staff allocations, verifying accuracy of information, and identifying and resolving errors and/or discrepancies.
With the oversight of finance and the District Principal of HR, build the class-size and composition of school enrollment (build grids for student placement).
Provide oversight of the district’s remedy process, ensuring accuracy in reporting, entries, and calculations.
Compile staffing data, designing and preparing reports as required; generate regular and ad-hoc reports.
