QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in HR and payroll functions.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of major employment laws and employee benefits plans.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other office software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage select payrolls each cycle and serve as the primary backup for bi-weekly payroll processing across five companies.
  • Conduct employment and placement activities, including new hire orientations, creating offer packets, and scheduling pre-employment screenings.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing with production managers and maintain effective communication with staffing agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. HR Generalist to handle Family Medical Leave, disability, and leave of absence cases.
  • Assist with employee benefits orientation as needed and support the benefits program, including health/life insurance and 401(k) plans.
  • Organize special employee events to enhance engagement and company culture.
  • Facilitate open communication between departments and the HR team, focusing on being a resource for managers and employees.
  • Perform administrative duties such as creating HR communications and maintaining HR and recruiting databases.
  • Track and collect performance reviews, ensuring timely completion and providing support for the annual review process.
