We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our friendly People team as an HR Apprentice.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We are looking for someone with:

  • GCSEs A-C / 4-9 in English and Maths;
  • a customer-centric approach, focusing on good communication, excellent service and quality to ensure customer satisfaction
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, whilst recognising the need for confidentiality at all times
  • excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and good organisational skills
  • good IT skills, including Microsoft office
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to act on own initiative, seeking guidance where appropriate.

We will provide you with all the training you need to ensure that you get up to speed quickly with all of our HR Administration processes, whilst supporting you with your apprenticeship.

Responsibilities:

Our People Team provides a range of innovative and professional HR services across the YTL Group. Working in the HR Service Centre, you will be based at our Bath office at Claverton Down. You will work closely with our team of HR Assistants to provide customer focused support to our business, by ensuring the smooth operation of the complete employee lifecycle through our innovative and professional HR services.

You will be responsible for:

  • responding to a wide range of HR queries via iRequestHR, our service management portal, by telephone and face to face
  • providing support to employees, managers and external contacts on all aspects of the HR administration service as the first point of contact, whilst ensuring confidentiality and effective resolution
  • drafting and issuing contracts and letters, processing new starter onboarding, leavers, changes to terms and conditions and types of leave, and resolving general HR queries
  • updating and maintaining our suite of HR systems including our iTrent People system and our electronic filing system

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to improving our HR administrative processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, consistent and innovative.
There will also be lots of exciting ad-hoc HR tasks and projects to get involved with.
