WHO WE ARE?

Amegreen Children’s Services is an established and respected provider of residential children’s homes. Our homes are rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and provide therapeutic care to children between the ages of 5 and 18 who are unable to live with their families. We have a therapeutic farm, our specialist primary school opened last year and more exciting plans are on the way!

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant experience is essential. Experience within a HR position is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels.
  • Excellent computer proficiency and attention to detail.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The HR Assistant will have excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills. They will have the ability to work independently and within a team environment, and in a fast-paced environment under competing deadlines. A proactive, can do and flexible approach is essential as there can be surprises in HR; you will never be bored!

KEY DUTIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Provide support to the HR Manager, including drafting letters, scheduling and note-taking during meetings.
  • Maintain the HR database with accurate and up to date employee records, generating reports as required.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR related matters.
  • Provide administrative support for HR processes such as reviews, promotions, transfers, resignations and references.
  • Assist in developing HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and legal requirements
  • Take responsibility for your own work including levels of accuracy and output.
