Description:

We are currently looking for a HR Assistant to assist the Hotel Manager and Director, to provide effective HR services for all department, areas and employees within the Hotel’s Team.
Pay schedule: Salary is negotiable based on experience
Work schedule: 24 hours over 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Managing the recruitment and responding to all applications and agencies
  • Assist the Hotel Manager and Director in the production of job descriptions and identifying skills sets for each role
  • Scheduling interviews as required in conjunction with the Managers and Director
  • Logging all recruitment and applicant activity
  • Ensuring that all recruitment administration is completed in a timely manner
  • Work with finance to ensure monthly processes are completed
  • Manage the collation of payroll information and the production of monthly HR salary documentation to be used by the external payroll service
  • Updating personal information and salary databases
  • Supervising the external payroll service and liaising with them on all staff and partner matters
  • Responsible for dealing with all salary queries from staff
  • Co-ordinate and manage payroll giving via monthly salaries
  • Conduct the first day HR induction for all new employees, transfers, maternity / paternity returners, etc. ensuring they receive the appropriate level of induction
  • Scheduling all probation meetings and sending confirmation of end of probation letters
  • Assist other managers with all administration related to new employees and leavers as required
  • Assist with employee related issues as and when they arise
  • Have a thorough understanding of HR law, preferably with knowledge relating to contracts, terms and conditions, discrimination, maternity / paternity, dismissal processes, grievances, etc.
  • Assist with dismissal, grievances and redundancy issues
  • Process invoices for payment, when required from the Director
  • Arrange and keep a record of all external training for employees
  • Arrange and conduct employees appraisals and performance reviews
  • Record and monitor KPI’s for all employees
  • Any other duties as required by the Hotel Manager or Managing Director in line with the role

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
