JOB DESCRIPTION

Brakes and Fresh Direct are now recruiting for a HR Assistant to join us on-site in our Dagenham depot on a full time, permanent basis.
As a HR Assistant you will provide support and guidance to key stakeholders and managers to create an employee experience that establishes us as a great place to work. The role provides support to the site, with occasional support to other depots as and when required.
You will work closely with a HR Partner and HR Administrator at a nearby depot, on site operational management teams and HR Shared Services. The role does not have any direct reports.

YOU:

You will ideally be working in a similar HR Assistant role, looking for the next step in your career. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of basic employment law and HR practices. You can expect to be dealing with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels across the depot offering a great customer service so someone with strong communication skills and enjoys working to meet deadline is important. CIPD Level 3 is desirable or working towards.

Responsibilities:

  • Help line managers with the onboarding of new starters and probation reviews
  • Provide support with creating and maintaining an engagement activities calendar and initiatives such as Employee Communication Forums.
  • Assist in the facilitation and delivery of management development training
  • Support line managers to ensure all people processes are managed and actioned in accordance with relevant policy / process timescales
  • Collation and presentation of ad hoc HR data / insights
  • Maintain the highest level of data integrity by handling all colleague and company information with sensitivity and absolute confidentiality and ensure the adherence of GDPR regulations
