Description:

IF SO, THEN WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

NHS Professionals is looking for a HR Assistant to join their busy bank member human resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to build and progress their career in HR within a busy team environment.
We offer a balanced approach to office and home working. During the first few weeks you will be required to come into the office everyday / most days whilst you are being trained but then you would move into a hybrid model so you have some time at home but also office time built in to ensure you get some face to face collaborative team time - and a chance for a coffee (or tea) and a catch up!
Please note - This role is a Fixed Term Contract until February 2026 and a Hybrid model, working from home and in our Hemel Hempstead offices.

ABOUT US:

NHS Professionals (NHSP) run the largest NHS flexible staff bank, placing highly skilled temporary workers in NHS Trusts to meet their short, medium and long-term needs. Uniquely we are owned by the Department of Health and Social Care and we therefore reinvest any surplus we make directly back into the NHS.
We are particularly proud of being the first NHS organisation to gain the accreditation of Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute. This is a huge testament to our ongoing commitment to making NHSP a great place to work for all our corporate employees

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a member of the Bank Member Employee Services (ES) Team, you will support internal and external customers and the HR Team in providing advice and guidance on standard HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment plus other ad hoc, general HR queries. A lot of the queries relate to maternity, paternity and adoption policies, along with general employment related questions and information requests from our bank members.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to give informed advice and able to negotiate with key stakeholders using tact and discretion, leaving customers satisfied with the outcome whilst maintaining NHSP’s HR policies.
