Purpose of role
Support the HR department with administrative tasks and data entry, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with HR policies.
In addition, the role will also give admin support to our Finance department as when required.
The position will see you providing maternity cover on a 9-month fixed term contract on a part time basis (15 hours/week, Monday to Friday)
Key responsibilities
- Recruitment: assist the team with recruitment administrative tasks, including job advertising and providing a point of contact for candidates
- Policies & procedures: ensuring all documentation is up to date
- Leave management: Potentially managing / registering staff absences and holidays
- Main point of contact for HR queries.
- Provide administrative support for the employee life cycle including processing joiners and leavers, creating, and updating employee system profiles and records
- Support the HR department with the population of letters as required
- Co-ordinate employee starter and leaver process as required
- Provide general support to the Finance department, H&S coordinator and GDPI/GFA teams as required

Key requirements
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Experience using HR software (ideally with Workday)
- Ability to be tactful and diplomatic to confidential/ sensitive situations
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality
- Good understanding of employee life cycle
- Understanding of ongoing legislative changes which affect compliance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organised, logical and methodical approach
- Keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain pro-active and use own initiative
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to prioritise effectively
