Job Description: HR Assistant who enjoys working with employees and will help take our growth to the next level. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in ADP or equivalent HR Payroll system.     Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Proficiency in ADP system.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities.
  • Must exhibit excellent communication written and verbal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or construction environment a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
    Additional Information

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and conducts new hire orientation or onboarding activities as well as training of the leadership team.
  • Performs Payroll Functions, Attendance Tracking, and Onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with supervisors, managers, and employees.
  • Administers benefits plans and programs, which will include conducting annual open enrollment meetings, ensuring employees are properly educated on plan offerings, and enrollments are completed for each eligible employee.
  • Plan and participate in employee events, philanthropy efforts and wellness programs.
  • Manage applicant tracking system.
  • Research and serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
  • Review employment applications and prescreen applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills to match candidates with job requirements.
  • Performs pre-employment processing, such as applicant testing, background checks, etc.
  • Performs other HR specific responsibilities as assigned.
