JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives in a fast-paced work environment within The Falcon Group. The primary responsibilities will include assisting with recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, employee record management including licensures and certifications, benefits administration, participating in ongoing organization wide HR initiatives and promoting a positive work culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Associate degree, in a related field or courses within Human Resources.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of three to four years of relevant HR experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Any employee relations experience is a plus.

SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in excel required.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Time Management.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Immediately seeking an energetic, talented, Human Resources Assistant interested in learning, engaging in implementing HR best practices within the organization and supporting a culture of teamwork and collaboration within The Falcon Group. The position will be based out of Miami, FL and in addition to providing local HR support within the FL region, this position will also be responsible for supporting HR initiatives organization wide. Strong organizational skills, ability to work under minimal supervision and assisting in fostering positive employee relations is critical for this position. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Support HR Manager: Work closely with the HR Manager to implement company policies and procedures effectively, fostering a positive and compliant work environment.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information and report as appropriate potential breaches to protect the organization’s operations.
  • Professional Development & Licensure Verification: Coordinate lunch and learn sessions to facilitate the continuous professional development of our staff and provide support for the verification process of professional staff licensure and education credentials.
  • Recruitment Support & Applicant Tracking: Provide comprehensive recruitment support by posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling job interviews to ensure a streamlined and efficient hiring process, while also maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of job applicants, sourcing, tracking, and hiring information. Assist with affirmative action plan data reporting as required.
  • New Hire Preparation & Orientation: Prepare new employee files and ensure all required documentation is complete and organized to expedite the onboarding process, while also conducting engaging and informative new hire orientations to help new employees embrace the company’s mission and goals.
  • Maintain employee information in our HR database by accurately entering and updating employment and status-change data, while also ensuring that all HR files and databases are well-organized and up to date, conducting regular audits to guarantee compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Payroll: Gather payroll data to support the processing of payroll.
  • Benefits Administration: Responsible for guiding employees, especially new hires and those experiencing qualifying events, through the understanding, enrollment, and communication of available benefit options to ensure they are well-informed about their choices.
  • Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing excellent assistance and resolving issues promptly. Proactively escalate issues as required to the appropriate personnel.
  • Continuous Learning: Enhance your HR knowledge and skills by actively participating in training sessions and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned.
