Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Associate assists with a variety of human resources activities to ensure Grow Public Schools maintains compliance with laws and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, processes, and files a variety of documents such as verifications of employment, EDD letters, leaves of absence paperwork, jury duty financial hardship letters, etc.
  • Reconciles monthly medical, dental, vision, and ancillary product bills to ensure accurate payments
  • Supports onboarding activities, including creating employee badges, and facilitating new hire compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Supports recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, reference checks, background checks, and confirmation of required credentials or permits.
  • Assists the HR team with large projects, such as Performance Management, Open Enrollment, Recruitment Kick Off, Oversight, etc.
  • Supports HRIS database maintenance and ensures employee personnel files are regularly updated and accurate.
  • Maintains updated records on certificated staff permits or credentials and assists Talent Acquisition Specialist with permit applications
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended best practices
  • Coordinates scheduling for the Human Resources team
  • Other related duties as assigned
