Description:

We are working with a client who is seeking an HR/Benefits Specialist to join our team on an interim bases in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The HR/Benefits Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting with benefit open enrollment, auditing systems, and addressing inquiries related to benefit plans or payroll. This role also requires a high level of internal customer service and the ability to perform additional HR tasks as necessary. This role has the flexibility to be primarily remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with benefits open enrollment and become well-versed in the benefit plan offerings
  • Perform accurate audits of systems and make necessary changes in payroll and vendor systems
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to benefit plans or payroll
  • Maintain a strong focus on providing excellent internal customer service
  • Perform additional HR tasks as necessary
  • Navigate and audit benefit vendor systems
  • Use Microsoft Suite and be familiar with HRIS systems to manage and update information
  • Assist employees with questions related to payroll
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues with minimal guidance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and benefits
  • Proficient in auditing and benefit functions
  • Strong understanding and experience in benefits payroll
  • Experience in managing open enrollment processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interpret and apply understanding of organizational policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • DATIS system experience a plus
