Description:
We are working with a client who is seeking an HR/Benefits Specialist to join our team on an interim bases in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The HR/Benefits Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting with benefit open enrollment, auditing systems, and addressing inquiries related to benefit plans or payroll. This role also requires a high level of internal customer service and the ability to perform additional HR tasks as necessary. This role has the flexibility to be primarily remote or hybrid.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with benefits open enrollment and become well-versed in the benefit plan offerings
- Perform accurate audits of systems and make necessary changes in payroll and vendor systems
- Address and resolve employee inquiries related to benefit plans or payroll
- Maintain a strong focus on providing excellent internal customer service
- Perform additional HR tasks as necessary
- Navigate and audit benefit vendor systems
- Use Microsoft Suite and be familiar with HRIS systems to manage and update information
- Assist employees with questions related to payroll
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues with minimal guidance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and benefits
- Proficient in auditing and benefit functions
- Strong understanding and experience in benefits payroll
- Experience in managing open enrollment processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and SharePoint
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret and apply understanding of organizational policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- DATIS system experience a plus
