This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and dynamic professional to undertake a new pivotal and challenging role within the organisation. We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of the Group’s performance.
You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in senior leadership. As an effective role model, you must demonstrate that you can work within and support the culture and value base of a high achieving and diverse organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • CIPD Level 5 Qualification.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent Management Qualification.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Evidence of experience and understanding of most of the disciplines contained within the Job Profile, in a senior role.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing employee relations issues and advising on performance management.
  • Managing and developing a range of HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience of using digital Recruitment and HR solutions

Responsibilities:

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To work with the Group Chief Finance & Operating Officer to develop an organisational People Strategy which aligns with the organisation’s strategic objectives and values.
  • To advise on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organisational design.
  • To drive employee engagement, retention, and performance initiatives.
  • To lead on overall HR performance in line with the People Strategy and annual strategic plans.

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be a role model and leader within AUKNT, promoting a positive culture which respects diversity, encourages initiative and enterprise.
  • To effectively manage and support the HR Team and ensure Continuous Professional Development to aid with succession planning.
  • To work with line managers across the organisation to tackle performance issues with resolve and empathy to develop individual and team performance, recognising and valuing good performance.
  • To work with line managers to promote a high-performance culture across the organisation .
  • To work with line managers across the organisation to create an inclusive and positive working environment which fosters a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • To uphold and demonstrate at all times the values and behaviours of the Group.
  • To work consistently to a high standard and demonstrate continuous improvement in line with the Group’s Quality Assurance Framework.
  • To assist Heads of Service with any service improvement programme that may be identified through inspection, audit, or customer feedback.
  • To have oversight over the Group’s Equal Opportunities policies, principles and practices and ensure these are observed and implemented throughout service delivery.
  • To ensure your service area is subject to regular unannounced internal inspections and audits.
  • To ensure effective networking and liaison with other agencies by participating in relevant meetings and representing the values and policies of the Group.

COMPLIANCE AND OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant with current legislation, and in line with best practices.
  • To advise on HR-related compliance issues, including safeguarding and health and safety for both staff and volunteers.
  • To manage the performance of the HR Team to ensure the Group strategy and objectives are achieved.
  • To be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service excellence across the Group.
  • To ensure that all quality standards are followed and maintained in line with organisational agreed delivery procedures for customer services.
  • Comply with all Group Policies & Procedures.
  • To comply with the Data Protection Act 2018.
