Human Resources Business Partner - Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
As a HR Business Partner at Allegion, you will design and implement people-related strategies that accelerate business results. That means you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees to deeply understand our business and our people. You’ll need to think broadly, be curious and be comfortable challenging the status quo.
- This role will require onsite support in a manufacturing setting and is not available for remote work.
What You Will Do:
- Work with key stakeholders, your manager, and team to proactively develop solutions to support business strategy and to establish and maintain productive internal and external working relationships
- As a skilled coach, partner with leaders, teams, and individuals to help them continuously improve their effectiveness and achieve business and career goals
- Lead strategies to foster an environment of belonging and engagement which balances the needs of the business and employees
- Use data and problem-solving methodologies to continuously improve HR processes and service levels to the business
- Manage communications and reporting to ensure timely completion of core HR processes such as performance management, annual compensation planning, and employee engagement surveys
- Collaborate with leadership to write job profiles and partner with compensation on alignment across the organization as well as for salary market analysis as needed
- Be a champion for Allegion’s culture and values where employees and leaders are safe and healthy, serve others not themselves, celebrate success, feel accountable and empowered to run the business like it is their own, and ultimately when faced with challenges, will do the right thing
- Partner with the business and Human Resource subject matter experts to design and execute your strategy for how we recruit, onboard, develop, engage, and retain our employees
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support client groups
- Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, compensation, employee engagement, learning and growth, culture, change management, and strategic talent management
- Provide Talent Acquisition support to include support for Non-Exempt recruitment, assistance with Exempt recruitment, and onboarding support for all hires
- Implement organizational development, workforce or succession planning, training, or performance management strategies as developed by the HR COE
- Facilitate leadership development training with excellence
- Support talent programs such as internships, co-ops, and other early career talent programs
- Manage employee relations issues for your client groups and support other client groups as needed
- Identify opportunities for HR Process improvements
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- 5-8 years of experience in general Human Resources: employee relations, talent acquisition and management, change management, compensation, benefits, local and federal law knowledge
- 4-year college degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations
- Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy
- Exceptional at influencing through strong relationships, expertise, and data
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills preferred), collaboration technologies (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom), Workday and emerging HR technologies
- Ability to travel up to 15%
