Description:

Do you thrive in the role as a HR advisor for leaders in retail, and do you also have a well-equipped HR toolbox with solid skills in areas such as leadership development, employee retention, and training? Then you could be our new HR Business Partner for our office in Manchester.
At Søstrene Grene, we have ambitious plans and are continuously opening new stores. It is essential for us to equip our store managers and employees with the right competencies to maintain our strong culture, Sister Spirit, within the company. As an HR Business Partner, you will report to the Head of People & Culture (based in Denmark) and act as a HR advisor and HR professional for our UK franchise partners. You’ll closely collaborate with the Danish team to align HR strategies and processes across borders.

Your tasks as an HR Business Partner:

  • You are a culture ambassador, embodying our values and Sister Spirit in everything you do.
  • Act as a HR advisor and HR professional for our UK franchise partners, ensuring that leadership and employee development align with the company’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Denmark on leadership training development. You may also be responsible for on-site leadership training or assist in finding the right partner for this task.
  • Plan and develop training initiatives for our employees, covering everything from onboarding to professional development.
  • You will be part of developing best practices, policies, and tools, and you will ensure that our culture and values are strongly represented in the retail sector, while ensuring high performance and minimal personnel costs.
  • Assist in difficult conversations and employment-related issues.

Your profile as an HR Business Partner:

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner or similar. The ability to advise managers and employees is crucial. We have a collaboration with Peninsula HR and Employment Law.
  • Knowledge across a broad HR spectrum, including employee training, leadership development, and satisfaction surveys—ideally within the retail sector.
  • Natural ability to build relationships, combined with business acumen and a proactive, pragmatic approach to HR support.
  • The ability to work both operationally and strategically, as well as to contribute to the development of an international HR strategy.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to make a difference in our rapidly growing company.
  • To be a part of a family-owned business and an informal, open, and humorous interaction style.
  • 20% employee discount.
  • A sustainability strategy with a strong focus on recycling in all our product developments. We ensure that our products can be reused multiple times, with components separated and recycled.

About the Spirit of Søstrene Grene: At Søstrene Grene, we aim to touch people’s hearts through a unique universe. We support each other, share our successes, and strengthen one another. We call it the “Sister Spirit,” regardless of gender or position.
Our People & Culture team sets an example for our Sister Spirit and is responsible for living and passing on this culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in difficult conversations and employment-related issues
