Description:

People are Bloomberg’s most critical assets and ensuring their success through measurement of individual performance is the key to our success. As part of our HR Business Partnering team, you will cultivate strong professional relationships with peers and across Data and Engineering to maximize the success of our employees. We are a creative and forward-thinking team working with the desire to achieve one goal: driving business through our people.
Our team influences the design and delivery of people and organizational development strategies in support of the Data and Engineering departments. In this role, you would work with Senior HR partners across global, cross-functional teams to ensure people are at the center of all business decisions and to advocate for continuous organisational performance improvement. We work to ensure our strategies and guidance fit the evolving needs, goals, and direction of the Data and Engineering organisations. We are trusted advisers in all areas of HR and are partners to our business in hiring, developing and retaining the best talent. With trust from our business, our peers in HR, and leadership, we strive to be creative, innovative and inclusive in how we support our employees.

Responsibilities:

As an HR Business Partner at Bloomberg, you will be supporting the overall success of our people strategies. As an integral part of the Data and Engineering HR teams, you will be involved in our workforce planning efforts, business transformation agenda, change management initiatives, organizational design, and other projects, such as implementing people dashboards and analytics. In addition, you will lead the delivery of end-to end HR services to internal client groups and drive outstanding business performance, focusing on the Team Lead population across EMEA, and collaborate with other HR Business Partners in other regions. You will partner closely with Senior Business Partners to help execute the human capital agenda and critical talent initiatives to achieve operational excellence for the business.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Understand the vision, purpose and strategy of a business and how this aligns with HR strategies
  • Drive results based on business goals and strategies, by executing specific people-focused initiatives
  • Leverage data, metrics and internal/external trends to arrive at insights and make recommendations on projects and activities
  • Work with Senior HRBPs, cascading the execution of regional HR initiatives that make the organization more effective, e.g., talent management, retention strategies and employee development
  • Build credible relationships with key management, business stakeholders and peers in region, and globally, by combining commercial and HR expertise to add value to the business
  • Help coach people leaders to better manage their business, develop their people to drive and create business results and impact
  • Provide advice and challenge people leaders on how to effectively manage change within the organization, such as department reorganizations, and leadership changes
  • Manage a wide range of stakeholders across HR and internal clients to achieve execution of HR initiatives and annual processes
  • Display confidence, emotional intelligence and decisiveness
