This role is based for our Home Delivery customers and is part of a team of 5. You will look after your own sites across the Midlands, and travel when necessary. The overall goal of this position is to contribute to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer focused HR service across DHL. You will provide effective support, guidance and advice to managers and staff members on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policy and processes and support recruitment needs as an when required as the delivery of key projects.
Responsibilities:
- Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice
- Support the management of complex employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence. This includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedure and legislation, support manager with Occupational Health, supporting formal investigations and hearings.
- Support the wider HR Team in implementing and embedding new strategies and initiatives across the organisation.
- Build good working relationships with all line managers in order to better understand their needs and provide appropriate HR related support.
- Ensure the timely and satisfactory resolution of employee relations issues by maintaining effective relationships with union representatives.
- Work alongside HRBP’s and managers, in the management of change issues, supporting formal consultation exercises and processing information such as TUPE due diligence and redundancy calculations.
- Work in collaboration with managers on managing sickness, managing redeployment where appropriate, assisting staff back to work and working with managers to reduce sickness absence across the organisation.
- Support the HRBP’s/ site leaders to deliver the strategic business plan
- Support managers to develop people management capabilities
- Scan and understand the business’ markets, environment and needs, share insight with other HR roles and recommend solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate with the Centres of Excellence to implement HR solutions that meet the distinctive business challenges and needs
- Work with HR Operations to use workforce data and apply analytical skills to formulate people insights and recommendations
- Following defined processes, provide people and workforce related advice, strategies, and solutions related to workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and succession planning
- Provide accurate and timely information and data to managers and employees on individual contracts, HR policies, processes, procedures etc.
- Support managers to manage data, ensure data quality and deliver HR processes along the HR life cycle (e.g. bonus and merit review, Talent Management, Development Reviews)
