Job Description
The HR function is focused on the delivery of high-quality related People, HR Management, Employee Development, Talent, Culture and HR service programmes and initiatives that better enables the organization to achieve its goals/strategic plans.
Reporting to the Head of HR for Dublin Airport, this role will provide comprehensive and professional HR advice and support to the teams based at Dublin Airport. To do this, the HRBP will partner closely and work collaboratively with the People Managers helping them to build a work environment that retains and attracts the best people and recognises our people and their performance.
The HRBP will be recognised as a credible and trusted “People Expert” for our People Managers and will provide support across all areas of HR to all levels of our team. Critical to the success of this role is the ability for the HRBP to understand how the business works and the role holder will be expected to be visibly present in the operations environment, ensuring that HR are providing tangible value-add support to the management team and the employees.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a positive and supportive culture, enhancing the daa brand as an employer through employee experience.
  • Proactively support and guide our People Managers in the implementation of our HR policies, processes, and ways of working.
  • Work with the Central Attendance team and the People Managers to develop and implement controls and initiatives to reduce employee absence and improve employee welfare.
  • Support all resourcing plans taking a direct role in the recruitment of roles as appropriate / required.
  • Provide front line advice to People Managers on ER issues tapping into the specialist support from other members of HR and the Central ER team.
  • Actively participate in change initiatives developed by the HR Centres of Excellence (COE’s) directly or in partnership to ensure delivery and execution of all plans.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the business/customers and key issues to assist the delivery of effective people solutions.
  • Ensure the business is operating within agreed Reward frameworks.
  • Produce and analyse reports, statistics, and updates for the Head of HR as required.
  • Lead and develop the existing HR Team providing robust HR guidance and support where needed
  • Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally 5 + year’s experience working as a HRBP, HR Manager or Senior HR generalist.
  • Proven experience in leading grievance and disciplinary investigation hearings.
  • Comfortable and experienced working in a unionised environment and managing general ER issues.

SKILLS

  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, with a passion for change and solutions-based work activity.
  • Previous experience delivering a proactive and commercial HR service in a fast paced, progressive HR environment.
  • Brings a “can-do” attitude to providing solutions to overcoming barriers; likes to “roll up the sleeves” to get the job done.
  • Excellent organisation skills including ability to communicate to a high level as well as presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and best practices.
  • Execution and delivery focussed – with an approach that emphasises teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, data-driven and can prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence people.
  • Resilient with a positive disposition.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Third level degree in HR or other related discipline (CIPD).
