Description:

Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a new HR Business Partner - Global Functions to support our Corporate Functions. In this role you will provide full employee-life cycle HR support for several global functions in the execution of high quality, consistent HR processes such as Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Objective Setting & Performance Management, Learning & Talent Development, Total Rewards, and cost-effective workforce planning.
You will provide a full generalist HR service globally across the organizations functional departments including Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, Communications and Sales & Marketing. This individual will drive the people plan and acts as a single point of the contact for managers and employees in the functions.
You will have experience working in a generalist HR role with excellent employment law knowledge and also have strong influencing and communication skills. The role will be based at our New Park Square offices, Edinburgh, however there is some flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Functional management to provide HR direction, build high performing teams, and infuse a culture that reflects the company values
  • Builds a strong business partnership relationship with managers and leaders and acts as a trusted advisor
  • Educates and develops People Managers in all aspects of people management to ensure consistent and effective practices are in place and to enhance the employee experience
  • Proactively supports the delivery of HR programs and processes within the functions including performance management, people development, recruitment and employee relations activity
  • Ensures a positive, compliant, productive employee relations environment, managing performance improvement with managers, grievances and disciplinaries, redundancies, tupe transfers.
  • Drives management of talent, carrying out talent reviews, and succession planning for key talent and key strategic roles
  • Supports employee engagement initiatives and career development programs
  • Maintains accurate employee information, monitor and act on key HR metrics
  • Ensures full compliance of all employment data in line with GDPR standards

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Human Resources Business Partnering
  • Experience working with a global remit is advantageous
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience designing and delivering people initiatives to drive continuous improvements
  • Current Employment Law and best practices knowledge
  • Experience dealing with complex ER cases
  • Collaborative mindset with effective communication and influencing skills
  • Effective time management skills and comfortable managing challenging and conflicting priorities
  • Self-starter with ability work on your own initiative and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Proven experience of managing projects
  • Confident dealing with senior stakeholders
  • CIPD level 7 or equivalent HR related qualification
  • MS office skills at a good standard level of competence
  • Regular travel to the London head office will be required
