Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position will collaborate with HR colleagues and leadership teams to develop strategies that align with business objectives and drive success. The position builds strong relationships with the HRBP team, leadership, and employees to enhance workforce performance by supporting employee development, implementing HR initiatives and serving as a consultant on all general HR issues.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Provides Human Resources support to designated employees and management to ensure consistent application of Human Resources philosophy and policy.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Serves as Human Resources representative during employee coaching and counseling sessions as requested. Collaborate, review, and approve corrective action measures to ensure consistency of policies and guidelines.
  • Oversees and implements human capital best practices through a programmatic approach with an eye on continuous improvement, team adoption, relevance, and measurable success.
  • Leads and manages identified projects to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the human capital function – for example documentation and improvement of HR processes.
  • Collaborates with other teams in the People & Culture department (Talent Acquisition, Organizational and Talent Development, Total Rewards and HR Systems) to create and facilitate business initiatives.
  • Serves as a contact to the designated business units for safety and workers compensation, including documentation and investigation of incidents, facilitating first report of injury, communicating policies, and working with employees and management to mitigate issues.
  • Collaborates with legal to keep pace with ever-changing local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations ensuring policies and/or practices are compliant.
  • Assists with employee separation / exit interview process.
  • Serves as resource to their designated business unit to enhance employee engagement, champion company culture and DEI through committee events, teambuilding, and other company sponsored initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and gain credibility with leaders and peers
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday helpful
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Walk or stand for 25_% of the time
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
  • Lift 25lbs.
  • Some travel is required
