Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management:
  • Serves as a member of the talent acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment strategies.
  • Facilitate talent review and succession planning processes.
  • Support managers with career development activities for their teams.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Management:
  • Coach and guide managers on performance management processes including goal setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of performance management systems.
  • Organizational Development:
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • HR Operations:
  • Manage and resolve employee questions regarding HR policies and programs.
  • Support HR projects, such as compensation reviews, benefits enrollments, and policy updates.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HR, including 3 years in a Business Partner role.
  • Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
