Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Business Partner is a critical member of the Harmonic North America HR team. In this role, you will partner with functional managers in the execution of HR programs and initiatives. You will work to align business objectives to people programs by working across functions and in partnership with business leaders.
The HRBP will report directly to the Sr. Director, Human Resources.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Provide strategic and tactical HR support to client groups in the areas of (but not limited to) workforce planning, performance management, job changes/promotions, compensation, and employee relations;
- Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy;
- Guide managers in career development initiatives for their teams - job architecture, mapping of roles and other job-specific career ladders;
- Uphold organizational culture by managing and addressing employee relations issues quickly, consistently, and fairly;
- Enhance organizational culture through programs and events;
- Lead the development of the next generation of new managers through training initiatives;
- With in-depth understanding of the business, recommend new approaches, programs, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement; and
- Lead company and/or HR projects and initiatives as needed
