Description:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced in manufacturing / engineering / logistics environment, delivering at partner level
  • Significant experience working in a fast-paced, agile and high-performing HR team accustomed to driving innovative solutions
  • Experience of providing a HR service outside of the UK (would be advantageous)
  • Experienced in dealing with immigration / visa matters
  • Significant experience of operational HR service delivery and providing enhanced solutions across wide-ranging business units
  • Significant experience of managing wide-ranging ER issues in order to manage and mitigate risk
  • Able to analyse data with high levels of ability in all Microsoft Office tools and HR information systems
  • Experience of managing payroll processes
  • Level 5 CIPD is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities:

  • Provide wide ranging generalist HR advice to designated business units and in doing so, ensure all managers have the capability and HR tools to professionally manage themselves in dealing with their teams
  • Influence and build trusted relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues alike - able to coach, influence and guide
  • Lead resourcing discussions (workforce planning) with line managers in all designated business units so that resourcing needs are anticipated and planned for allowing recruitment plans to be made
  • Ensure all plans are in place for effectively recruiting and onboarding new employees in designated business units
  • Manage immigration into / out of UK for relevant recruitment and mobility needs across the business
  • Manage employee relations matters professionally and commercially in a way that considers all aspects of business risk.
  • Ensure our policies and procedures remain not only compliant but also demonstrate best practice in relation to common sense, easy to follow policies which create greater engagement
  • Ensure we have a timetable in place to address future legislative changes. Provide guidance to managers on policy interpretation and understanding
  • Responsible for implementation of performance management processes across designated business units (formal and informal), to ensure there is compliance with the process. Providing training as necessary in this area and supporting Managers with specific case issues
  • Lead the development of learning and development plans in designated business units to account for all aspects of competence as well as personal and professional skills development which in turn drives career and succession planning
  • Support the delivery of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plans across the business
  • Coordinate with the HR Services Manager on the implementation of any new people related services or process changes across the business
  • Lead on allocated HR projects providing update reports and collaborating with the wider HR team to ensure effective implementation
