EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • HR certification preferred

Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

The HR Business Partner is involved in a broad range of HR responsibilities supporting all locations throughout the Americas. Works closely with the management team as an independent HR contributor. The HR Business Partner will be an integral part of the success of this organization and meeting its goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Staffing, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention, compliance, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting a diverse talent pool.
  • Administer leave programs, such as FMLA, WC, Disability, to include tracking and reporting.
  • Provide support to employees on basic employee relations questions and inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Perform benefits administration regarding 401(K), Medical/Dental/Vision enrollments and changes.
  • Administer insurance coverage, pension plans, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfer, and terminations.
  • Assists Director in developing and administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Conducts wage surveys within relevant labor markets to determine competitive wage rates.
  • Administers benefits to include new hire activity, open enrollment coordination and distribution of mandated information to employee population.
  • Conducts recruiting activities, for both factory hourly and staff positions.
  • Establishes and maintains relationship with staffing companies in multiple regions.
  • Consult with management, providing HR guidance as needed.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain AA Program to ensure compliance and timely reporting
  • Coordinate and provide onboarding with various locations
  • Workers’ Compensation, benefits, and audit reporting.
  • Assists in management of the annual performance assessment and employee development planning processes for the company.
  • Rewrites job descriptions as necessary; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Leads proper on-boarding process to include new-employee orientation.
  • Monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains department records; customized report writing from ADP Workforce Now system.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, approximately twice annually.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, MVR, and criminal background check.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
