ABOUT THE JOB:

Kent is looking for a HR Business Partner to be based in either Vienna or Munich.
The role has a direct reporting line to the VP of People & Culture EMEA. We are transforming our HR function and this is an exciting time to be part of our team. We are looking for a motivated and experienced HR Professional who can manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the business, whilst establishing themselves as a credible change agent, supporting the establishment of localised HR services across multiple sites within Europe.
The HRBP will be a focal point for our EU Management team as we move the Kent HR service forward and continue to improve our ways of working. With strong organizational skills, we need someone who can help deliver our HR plans and bring innovation and creativity to our HR function.

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATION/ TRAINING/ CERTIFICATION:

  • CIPD Qualified (Chartered).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business Related Field or HR.

BEHAVIOUR/ CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, HCM Systems (preferably ORACLE) and developing reports.
  • Flexible to travel to any location within.
  • Experience in managing change with a good understanding of implementing new processes.
  • High levels of personal resilience and an ability to remain measured and calm whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Adaptable with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong at building relationships both within the organization and externally.
  • Able to make decisions using data.
  • Proficient and experienced in EU employment laws and Policy design.
  • Experienced in analysing recruitment reports.
  • Experience in reviewing and analysing KPIs.

The first six months of this role will require the role holder to be comfortable working through ambiguity and towards a structured plan as we build our presence in Europe. The HRBP will be a hands on role requiring the incumbent to support our HR setup in each country. We are looking for someone with the drive & motivation to get things done and a critical thinker with a constructive approach to problem solving. Will have the ability to identify issues and possible solutions.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the VPHR EMEA, drives the day to day HR Operations for Europe, provides direction and expertise over the full scope of the HR function (comfortable with startup and a self starter that can get things done).
  • Strong labour law background in understanding employment laws in various EU countries (Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden).
  • Partners with, challenges and coaches the business on key HR and people related issues.
  • Uses data to support decision making and improvements.
  • Champions HR policies and procedures and business applications including HRIS, Recruitment, Communications and Learning applications.
  • Aligns business objectives with employees and management.
  • Consults with line management on human resource-related issues.
  • Acts as an employee champion and change agent.
  • Assess and anticipate HR related needs and proactively communicates with the VP HR and line management.
  • Collaborates to partner with other functions and develop integrated solutions.
  • Builds relationships across the EMEA and Global HR teams to deliver value-added service to line management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business financial position, its plans, its culture and its competition.
  • Although not directly responsible for recruitment delivery work, partners closely with the Talent Acquisition team on the strategic sourcing of employees and contingent labour.
  • Ensures that the agreed systems and procedures are implemented across the business to support effective recruitment delivery including measurement and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • As a means of driving retention, focuses on the combination of quality onboarding, fair rewards, performance & learning and engagement issues and their impact on retention – and measures against these.
  • Ensures that quality retention data and analysis is available, and any interventions are agreed and actioned.
  • Has a good understanding of Compensation & Benefit structures in Europe and will partner work with the Reward team to make recommendations accordingly.
  • Guides the business in relation to reward issues and escalates in line with approvals matrix.
  • Ensures legal compliance associated with rewards, terms and conditions and employment contracts.
  • Manages and contributes to the annual review process in accordance with Group guidance.
  • Ensures the successful roll out and quality adaptation of Onboarding Excellence (First 100 days in Kent).
  • Coaches and guides EU Line Managers with regards to their role in the onboarding process.
  • Reviews and feeds back the impact of the onboarding programme on retention and engagement levels.
  • Maintains a high-performance agenda across the business and is a champion of continuous performance conversations, coaching interventions and dynamic learning.
  • Has a high concern of employee engagement as a key metric both for performance and retention.
  • Adapts formal (Employee Relations forums) and informal communication tools to drive engagement.
  • Measures, analyses and report on engagement quality (pulse surveys) on both discrete and broad issues.
    In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
