Description
The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Operation is the cornerstone of Leidos’ comprehensive suite of fully integrated security solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world. Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner/Site Lead to join the SES Global HR Team and serve as a consultant to management and employees, providing guidance on Human Resources related matters, activities, policies, programs, and processes. This position will provide HR guidance and support to ~125 employees.
- Manufacturing and Operations team primarily located in Ladson, SC and in Vista, CA, on all operational and strategic HR issues.
- Establish an intimate understanding of the business, building and expanding relationships with client leadership teams, and creating close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE’s), finance, and other functional organizations.
- A trusted partner, who works with business leaders to ensure effective management of people, structure, organization effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative/innovative, data-driven solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy.
- Ensure and influence management of cyclical HR focal areas like Performance Management, Talent Management, Career Development and Compensation & Benefits in line with local and corporate guidelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or related field) and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 or more years of prior relevant experience
- Experience implementing employee engagement and retention strategies
- A team-player with a willingness to be hands-on with tactical duties and an ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong consulting skills, including analyzing data to define the root cause, design practical, creative and/or innovative solutions, and drive effective implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in creating positive employer/employee relationships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or HR Functional Experience in areas such as Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Workforce Strategy, Talent Management, Organizational Development, and Labor Relations
- Experience with Workday HCM platform
- Experience in proactive HR assessment, diagnosis and solutioning of business challenges.
- Ability to navigate cultural and business nuances/sensitivities to promote top performance, employee engagement and inclusion.
- Experience working in manufacturing environment.
