  • Associate CIPD (or working towards Associate status)
  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor / Business Partner
  • ER experience and the ability to resolve complex HR issues
  • Good understanding of employment law
  • Excellent communicator across all levels in a business, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail, analytical and commercially aware
  • Ability to work with senior managers
  • Hands on with a can-do attitude
  • Team-player, liaising and working with the HR generalist and wider HR team in a collaborative environment
  • Proactive, highly motivated and results-focussed
  • Experience of a Partnership environment desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

An HR Business Partner position to provide generalist HR advice and support to the three fee-earning departments across the UK. These being Commercial Agency, Planning and Advisory (and the central management team as required).
The HR Business Partner will work with the Head of HR Business Partnering and is supported by the HR Advisor and HR Assistant within the overall HR team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Alongside the HR Adviser, acting as the main point of contact for employee and line management HR queries
  • Handle HR matters efficiently, effectively and in line with Montagu Evans procedures and policies
  • Manage and be involved in all employee relations issues; disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absences. Escalate to the Head of HR Business Partnering when required.
  • Work with the HR Advisor to deliver effective on-boarding and exit procedures
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Managers to co-ordinate, drive and deliver recruitment activity with the use of appropriate agencies and/or through direct hire applications
  • Identify and help Heads of Teams and line managers with coaching and training
  • Working with other members of the HR team to monitor, review and update HR Policies and Procedures to make sure that they are in line with employment legislation
  • Monitore analyse and report against HR Performance Indicators
  • Drive the business performance in relation to people activity
  • Consult on and implement HR strategy together with the Head of HR Business Partnering and HR Director
  • To lead or provide support to HR projects and change initiatives as directed
  • Any additional duties as reasonably requested
