Description:
Romac Logistics is a leading logistics business and are now recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a full time and permanent basis to join us at our Head Office in Urmston Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take the HR lead in a rapidly expanding Group.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- A graduate and ideally, CIPD qualified but not essential. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ideally generalist HR experience with solid experience over time, ideally gained within an Industrial, Logistics/Distribution or fast paced FMCG background.
- Industry Knowledge (Transport Sector) preferred.
- Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of UK employment law and specific regulations related to transport (e.g., working time directives, driver hours, safety standards).
- Adept at managing employee relations issues and providing effective solutions.
- Professional and confident manner always showing tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR systems and their importance in delivering accurate, reliable data to the business
- Knowledge and experience of providing advice on all matters relating to the employee lifecycle, including offer process; contracts of employment, change of terms and conditions & family friendly benefits
- Excellent interpersonal skills to gain credibility and respect at all levels within the organisation.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a HR business partnering service to the management team, working with Directors and Senior Managers to support the development and achievement of the strategic goals through pragmatic HR advice and guidance.
- Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders on data collection and policy implementation
- Lead on all Employee Relations including the Company’s Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure and readily able to coach the Management team in dealing with employee relations issues at each site.
- Analyse internal dashboards to create reports on key metrics for leadership at your site – including performance management, absence, employee relations, talent management
- Working closely with line managers to understand and implement HR policies and procedures
- Undertake a broad range of HR work spanning across employee lifecycle - sometimes complex and non-routine requiring background research e.g. providing legal advice, analysing data trends
- Support managers with hiring process, contracts and onboarding new employees
- Conduct reviews, preparatory talks with managers in line with defined Performance Management process
- Keep up-to-date with latest development in HR industry and employment legislation
- Enhance awareness and compliance with company policies/ and procedures and legal requirements/ regulations
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the business.
- Administrative support to cover the HR Services Coordinator role as needed.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on policies, best practice and current employment law, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and at the forefront of best practice
- Equip managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to manage people issues with confidence and independence.
- Leading the full employee life cycle of day-to-day HR Operations.
