Are you ready for a new and exciting challenge? Salvos Stores are looking for a dynamic individual to join us as the HR Business Partner for a maximum term parental leave cover based in Sydney.
In this role, you’ll partner with Area Managers and Regional Managers to support the retail arm of The Salvation Army, reporting directly to the National Workforce Manager. Dive into the vibrant world of Salvos Stores, where no two days are alike, and every day brings a fresh adventure.
As a HRBP with Salvos Stores, you will be pivotal in delivering fit for purpose people improvement initiatives and programs across the NSW/ACT region. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Center’s of Excellence (CoEs) and be a significant contributor to the delivery and successful implementation of wider people initiatives across your customer groups.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to business leaders in making good people decisions across the employee life cycle
- Building strong teams serving as a coach and mentor, influencing employee relations and driving a positive culture
- Coach People Managers on how effectively and consistently manage and take full accountability of their people decisions
- Deliver a range of HR services to the division/business unit utilizing the support of the HR Services team and CoE (as needed).
- Ensure all HR services and initiatives within the portfolio meet identified needs and that services implemented as required by the Talent Acquisition team, HR Services and other CoEs meet requirements and add value.
- Support the continued development of people management capability of leaders by providing the information and tools they need and where necessary support them in their application
- Provide advice to managers in the resolution of team issues including performance management, grievances, investigations, change management and remuneration reviews
- Deliver HR initiatives and programs developed by the CoE in a nationally consistent, timely and effective manner
- Support the transition of HR services to one national framework by ensuring the consistent application of HR policies, processes, tools and systems.
