- Able to demonstrate coaching, motivating and influencing managers and leaders in a large complex organisation
- Demonstrable experience of balancing a busy caseload whilst successfully partnering with managers at multiple levels
- Flexibility in your approach and be happy to be part of a supportive team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a pre-requisite with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders of all levels.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team of HR professionals supporting the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences.
In this busy and varied role, you will proactively support managers across the whole spectrum of HR practice whilst contributing to the development of corporate HR policy to achieve the aims of our HR Strategy and University Plan. HR is truly valued at the University, and your Faculty stakeholders will seek your input and advice.
This is a permanent position. Hours of work are full-time (35 hours) however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 28 hours per week).
We operate a hybrid working arrangement and you will be expected to work a minimum of 1-2 days a week on campus.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Working with your allocated area/s of the Faculty you will establish strong working relationships with key managers. With the local finance team you will undertake workforce planning, analysing and interpreting HR Management Information data. You will also be responsible for managing organisational reviews and assisting with the management of academic procedures at School and/or Faculty level.
You will provide advice on employment legislation and assist in the dissemination and implementation of new or revised policies and or procedures. A key aspect of the role is working closely with your internal customers to provide advice, guidance and support in dealing with any issues of misconduct, poor performance, attendance or capability.
