The HR Campus Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources support and services to our campuses. This role focuses on delivering HR programs, policies, and initiatives to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students. The HR Campus Officer collaborates with campus leaders/ coordinators, department heads, and HR colleagues to address HR-related issues, promote a positive work and learning environment, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong prior HR experience, preferably in a higher education or large organisational setting.
- Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Experience with employee relations, recruitment, and performance management processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- HR Policy and Program Implementation: Implement HR policies, procedures, and programs on the campus, ensuring alignment with the overall HR strategy and organisational goals.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, and students on HR-related matters, including employee onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Recruitment and Selection: Support campus hiring processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and offer letters. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure recruitment strategies attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
- Training and Development: Identify training and development needs on campus and coordinate the delivery of training programs to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance of employees and students.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and institutional policies. Stay updated on changes in HR regulations and effectively communicate changes to campus stakeholders.
- Benefits and Compensation: Assist employees in understanding and accessing benefits and compensation programs. Collaborate with central HR teams to administer benefits, resolve issues, and provide guidance on compensation matters.
- Employee Engagement and Recognition: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including recognition programs, HR campus events, and surveys to gather feedback and improve the campus environment.
- HR Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records, generate HR reports, and analyse data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making. Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- HR Projects and Initiatives: Participate in HR projects and initiatives at the campus and system-wide, and at the company level, such as HR system implementations, policy updates, and diversity and inclusion programs.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Collaborate with campus leaders, department heads, and HR colleagues to build effective working relationships, address HR-related challenges, and provide guidance and support on HR matters.
