HR Chief of Staff

JOB SUMMARY

Equinix is seeking a collaborative, consultative, analytical, organized, and motivated individual to work closely with two Global HR leaders. The HR Chief of Staff will have an immediate impact on aligning and managing HR stakeholders in support of day-to-day operations as well as strategic initiatives. The role will be roughly 50% focused on supporting the Global VP HR Tech and Product Business Partnering and 50% Global VP HR Experience Delivery.
We are looking for someone who is a “jack-of-all-trades” that has a pragmatic balance of strategic and creative thinking and is action oriented. This role requires a resourceful person who is extremely well organised and who can achieve measurable results while building strong and trusted relationships across multiple levels and functions of the business.
This role reports to the VP HR Technology and Product.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in HR is required
  • Experience in consulting environment required
  • Strong project management skills are required
  • Able to manage cross functional projects in a dynamic and fluid environment
  • High learning agility and ability to make connections
  • Strong written and verbal clear communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels in an organization
  • Exhibits collaboration skills with the ability to form deep and trusted relationships, across organizations, including key internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, and efficient with limited resources
  • Track record of achievement, with sound thinking and judgment

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a sounding board to senior leaders and team members in HR to help maintain and build a successful and healthy organization
  • Lead strategic initiatives in support of the HR and business strategy. Produce and own plans, build content and presentations, and ensure all parties involved are held accountable for deliverables and timelines
  • Anticipate needs and make plans for resolving them ahead of time
  • Identify issues across the organization and create paths to solve them. Guide leadership towards clear, efficient, and accountable decision-making
  • Have a strong pulse and feedback loop on organizational needs
  • Work closely with regional HR Chiefs of Staff to maintain alignment across the regions
  • Chair leadership meetings, ensuring relevant agenda and discussion points
  • Partner closely on annual budget process and day-to-day budget management
  • Support both leaders with content creation, preparation and presentation
  • Program manage specific initiatives sponsored by their leaders as agreed
  • Work closely and coach Executive Assistant in the team
