Job description
This is a summary of what the job involves to help you decide if you are a good fit.
Our Division in a fast-growing retail company is seeking the services of a highly motivated candidate with the relevant skills and knowledge of the human resources process within a retail environment.
You will be responsible for human resource functions, overseeing the department’s time and attendance, as well as any queries should it not be resolved within the department.
The successful candidate must be passionate and motivated about people. Excellent communication on all levels with strong people skills and a sparkling and cheerful personality is required.
What you’ll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

  • Leave Management
  • Employee onboarding process / Induction
  • Monitoring of scheduling/time and attendance
  • Employee exiting process
  • Recruitment
  • HR and Payroll administration
  • Monitoring of any disciplinary action and grievances/IR
  • Facilitate terminations and conduct exit interviews
  • General filing and any other administrative task as required by management.
  • Co-ordinating any internal or statutory training
  • Responsible for driving the Employment Equity process
  • Finish tasks on time, even when it’s busy and things are moving quickly.
  • Speak and communicate well.
  • Stay organized and notice even small things.
  • Find solutions creatively and think differently.
  • Get along with people and build good relationships.
  • Work well with others in a changing team.

Requirements

  • English
  • Clear criminal record

Preferences
