Description:
We are in search of an HR Consultant to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As an HR Director, you will be tasked with the assessment and improvement of HR processes, updating compliance procedures, creating an employee manual, and leading change within the organization based on staff feedback. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct HR assessments to identify areas of improvement
- Ensure all HR processes are compliant with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement an employee manual to guide staff on company policies and procedures
- Lead change management initiatives based on feedback from staff
- Utilize Paychex system for HR functions
- Manage employee relations and resolve any arising issues
- Oversee benefit functions to ensure they align with company policies and legal requirements
- Implement HR policies and ensure they are adhered to
- Create and maintain an employee handbook to foster understanding of company expectations and procedures
- Ensure HR compliance at all times to avoid legal and ethical issues.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR role
- Demonstrable proficiency in Benefit Functions
- Proven experience in Employee Relations
- Practical knowledge of Paychex system
- Familiarity with HR Compliance and HR Policy
- Ability to create and update Employee Handbook
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
