Cayuga Health System is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to HR Delivery Services, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partners (HRBP’s). This role will handle various tasks, including assigning Service Delivery incoming tickets, performing employment verifications, and processing Personnel Action Forms (PAF). The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an administrative role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within Human Resources, is a plus but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position primarily involves sedentary work. The incumbent will typically perform tasks while seated at a desk or workstation, utilizing computers, phones, and other office equipment. Sedentary work may require occasional standing, walking, or light physical effort, but the majority of duties will be performed in a seated position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Onsite - 767 Warren Road Ithaca NY

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage incoming Jira tickets related to HR inquiries. Assigning tickets to the appropriate department.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Complete employment verifications for current and former employees through verbal and mail communications, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Create new hire badges for on-time delivery on day one.
  • Process Personnel Action Forms accurately and timely, ensuring all employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations) are documented and processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
