Description:

Dougall Media, Thunder Bay’s only locally owned broadcast/multimedia company, has a rare opportunity in our Administration team, as a HR Coordinator.

The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role by handling a variety of administrative and clerical tasks related to Human Resources, and provides back-up support in the Administration department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment support; posting job ads, scheduling interviews, background checks
  • Employee records; maintain and update employee records and HR database
  • Onboarding; coordinate employee onboarding and orientation
  • Benefits administration; administration of employee benefits
  • Compliance; ensure compliance with various legislative laws and company policies
  • Reporting; produce reports on HR activity and metrics.

Requirements for this position:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Prior experience working in Human Resources, minimum 1 year;
  • Communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Familiarity with ADP software would be an asset;
  • Problem solving skills.
