Description:

Eventscape, a global leader in custom architectural fabrication, is looking for an HR Coordinator to support our diverse HR functions and employee programs.
In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruitment, streamline onboarding, support payroll and benefits administration, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As a key player in our HR team, you’ll work closely with departments across the company, ensuring smooth, effective HR operations that reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC).
  • Proficiency with Office 365 Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (an asset).
  • Expertise in MS Office and Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience performing boolean searches and using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and job posting platforms.
  • Social media and tech-savvy.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel between our facilities in Toronto.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (an asset).

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the HR Coordinator will include:

  • Support full-cycle recruitment: Work closely with managers to understand their needs, post roles, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and prepare offer letters to match the right talent with open positions.
  • Manage onboarding processes: Set up workstations, organize onboarding kits, conduct first-day orientation, administer H&S training, and configure HRIS for new hires.
  • Payroll Administration: Enforce accurate timekeeping, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy within payroll systems.
  • Employee Benefits: Administer employee benefit plans and serve as the main contact for benefits inquiries.
  • Records & Documentation: Maintain accurate employee records, track probationary periods, and perform periodic audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Act as a Health & Safety ambassador by participating in JHSC meetings, managing H&S programs, and maintaining certification records.
  • Training & Compliance: Source vendors, schedule, and coordinate compliance-related training sessions, including documentation to ensure all certifications and records are up to date.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee performance reviews, conduct exit interviews, assist with performance management, and carry out workplace investigations as needed.
  • Best Practices: Stay updated on HR technology, best practices, and legislation; ensure compliant policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Coaching & Support: Offer guidance and resources to employees and managers on employment-related matters.
  • Employee Engagement: Promote a positive work culture through engagement initiatives and assist with coordinating and executing employee events.
