Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • Typically possesses a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 3-6 years of experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with a two-year or four-year degree in a Human Resources or business related field

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite software and HRIS (Workday) experience a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic office equipment.
  • Proficient understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Good attention to detail

Responsibilities:

OUR PURPOSE:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Under moderate supervision, performs HR generalist and business-related support functions, which may include payroll and leave administration, recruiting candidates for open positions, preparing/distributing policies, and providing engagement support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs Human Resources generalist and business-related duties, which may include timekeeping, policy administration, employee engagement support, recruiting candidates for open positions, and coordination of plant needs for employee and business aspects.
  • Prepare and/or process paperwork, including but not limited to the attendance program, employee reimbursements, hearing test records, grievance files, leaves of absence, sickness/accident claims, retirements, and terminations.
  • Actively involved in recruiting and succession planning, as well as employee development and training, including management of recruiting process; must have an in-depth, hands-on understanding of roles within the plant.
  • May be actively involved with plant engagement surveys and action plans to build engagement.
  • May report workers’ compensation injuries and maintain OSHA log.
  • May prepare and distribute routine production, accounting, and administrative reports.
  • Provides back-up to other administrative positions to cover vacations and absences (as needed).
  • Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, including typical office duties.
