Description:

SUMMARY

The HR Coordinator completes all administration tasks and duties relating to employment offers, onboarding, biweekly payrolls and offboarding. The coordinator will be required to build successful relationships with new hires, colleagues, and line managers to establish positive and effective employee experiences aligned with Hallmark Medias people focused culture.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 - 2 years of HR experience.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience using an integrated HRIS / ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) including reporting required (previous experience of Paycom preferred).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have strong and engaging communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess ability to work independently and as a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafts offer letters and terms of employment for review.
  • Accountable for delivering a positive pre Day One onboarding experience to all new hires; collaborating with Hiring managers, IT & Admin functions, to best position the new hire for success from their day one.
  • Inputs and maintains the integrity of Hallmark Medias HRIS data, including processing of new hire, promotions, benefit changes and terminations to meet biweekly payroll deadlines.
  • Completes all employment verification requests and responds to state Department of Labor information requests such as unemployment or other benefit claims.
  • Assist with auditing and processing benefit invoices to ensure accuracy of enrollment information, premium rates and timely submission to A/P.
  • Where appropriate assist Manager, Employee Benefits and Wellness with case management to enhance employee experience.
  • Creation of both POs and non-POs and complete tracking of invoices
  • Assisting with general administration for the HR team.
  • Assist with other HR projects and activities as assigned.
