Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

Human Resources

  • Assists with all administrative functions of the department,
  • Other Administrative duties including compiling employee training manuals and materials, updating employee information/bulletin boards, ordering of office supplies.
  • Employee Lockers and Parking Card Control Tracking
  • Assist with the coordination of employee events and celebrations.
  • Assist in all aspects of Recruitment, On boarding and Orientation, Training and Terminations
  • Participates in the Joint Health & Safety Committee to help minimize potential liabilities; administrates & distributes monthly meeting minutes; maintains up-to-date H&S Information

Payroll

  • Ensures that all bi-weekly payroll adjustments are processed accurately including employee vacations, statutory holidays, company holidays, wellness days, overtime, wage increases, etc.
  • Audits payroll on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of data and corrects errors.
  • Maintains Employee database

Benefits

  • Assist with member enrolment / termination / changes for Group Insurance and Company RRSP programs.
  • Assist with disability management

Other

  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS THIS ROLE?

  • A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma is required, with a Human Resources Diploma/Certification and/or Payroll Certification considered an asset.
  • Previous hospitality and/or payroll experience an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and math skills.
  • Knowledge of governmental legislation.
  • Confidentiality and discretion required.
  • This role may require availability during weekends, nights, and holidays and will involve working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
