Description:
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time HR Coordinator who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ADP and UKG a plus
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or 1-2 years of prior experience in HR or administrative roles, is preferred
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, escalating issues to appropriate HR team members when needed
- Administration of the hourly attendance and job training programs.
- Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Operates and maintains the employee badge-making system to produce accurate and professional employee ID cards
- Maintain and update employee records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assists production supervisors with reviewing and processing employee time-off requests in the timekeeping system, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Administration of KPMC’s Substance Abuse policy
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Support HR initiatives to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws
- Posts timely and relevant information such as company announcements, job openings, HR policies, Labor Law postings, and upcoming events
- Manages employee uniform orders, checks lockers when changes are necessary, and reviews billing statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Handles special projects and performs additional responsibilities as assigned
