Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Support various aspects of the work held under the People and Culture umbrella within OneSky with a primary focus on: Recruitment, Onboarding, Orientation and Scheduling.
Works collaboratively with organizational leaders to ensure the employment experience for new and existing team members aligns with organizational values and standards. Working between 35-40 hours/week the position leads a people-centered approach while facilitating compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)

  • A diploma in Human Resources Management, business administration or a social sciences field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the full recruitment, onboarding, orientation and 24 hours/day and 7 day /week scheduling environment
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases; experience with BambooHR is considered an asset.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, Human Rights Legislation, and the Employment Standards Act.
  • Strong time management, planning, prioritizing and risk management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Good interpersonal skills with a high emotional intelligence

Recruitment, Onboarding and Orientation

  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process through OneSky’s HRIS.
  • In collaboration with Team Leaders, prepare job descriptions, interview questions and assessment criteria for all positions.
  • Support Team Leaders in the documentation requirements for new staff as well as transitioning staff.
  • Prepare offer letters, transfer letters, and promotion letters following the Company’s policies and practices.
  • Provide support for Team Leaders in HRIS management and use.
  • Assist with the implementation of Company initiatives, including coordinating OneSky’s new employee orientation process
