QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience performing highly complex clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Prior experience in an HR department or as an office manager is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Demonstrated intercultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace.
  • Sufficient experience performing similar duties to demonstrate possession of the required knowledge and abilities.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak and understand Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
  • Must be able to speak with Team Members and the public in a professional, positive manner.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains complete confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Conducts audits of HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Processes mail.
  • May assist in the selection and recommendation of training material.
  • Schedules training sessions, rooms, equipment and notifies participants.
  • May independently perform presentations, training sessions and host meetings.
  • Tracks team member training and maintains a training database and filing system.
  • Assist as needed with overflow in all functional areas of human resources (employee relations, recruiting, offboarding etc.
  • Responds to requests for assistance and information from Team Members departments and requests from the general public.
  • Assist in the processing of all personnel action paperwork in the HRIS system.
  • Assist applicants with online application process when needed.
  • Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
  • Acts as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Dry Creek Rancheria and River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
  • Attends all required meetings and training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
