Our HRDs are integral to shaping and driving the organisational and people agenda; making sure we have the right structure, capabilities and talent for the future – all through skilled execution of our core people processes and interventions, focusing on creating the right environment for our teams to be successful.
We have an opportunity for an HRD of the Diageo Centre based in Budapest, supporting both the FP&A Tower Globally as well as the end to end people agenda for the Budapest location - focusing on three distinctive areas to add real value to the business: Talent , Culture and Performance Enablement.
The HR Director will have two main areas of accountability:
1) HR Director of the Budapest location
The main responsibility is to lead, manage and own the end-to-end People agenda for the Budapest centre in conjunction with the leadership team ensuring strategic objectives are achieved. This will be achieved through close collaboration with the COE’s (Talent, L&D, Reward, TE)
- Key member of the Budapest Leadership team to deliver strategy, improve team effectiveness and drive engagement and culture through the organisation
- Build and sustain authentic, exciting and impactful culture and personal growth environment in line with our Dial up Behaviours to enable business performance
- Accountable to ensure organisation is ‘future proofed’ from a talent perspective and is capable to effectively cope with the changing environment – ensuring diverse and competitively advantaged talent pipelines
- In partnership with TE, building a strong local employer brand proposition that will attract and retain the best talent in the local market
- Lead the agenda to drive senior leadership development and succession planning locally (working closely with each of the Global Tower HRBP’s)
- Partner with Talent and L&D to orchestrate the delivery of key talent and development interventions such as BeSpirited, Leadership programmes, the local Graduate Programme, Inclusive Leadership, Change Leadership etc
- Initiate, drive and support large scale locational change initiatives impacting all populations across Budapest (DBS and non-DBS located in Budapest)
- Lead an effective HR organisation locally (directly including HRBP’s and payroll; indirectly including L&D, Reward and TE)
- Champion and lead our global and local DEI commitments
- Work with Global Reward to ensure clear, simple reward and benefit frameworks – ensuring that we remain competitive in the local market.
- Support local ER issues
- Exercise employer rights required to maintain relationship with Workers Council and external authorities as required
2) Lead HRBP responsibilities for the GBO (Global Business Operations) experience area - partner with Leadership team of the FC Tower to:
- Deliver the Organisation Effectiveness agenda by translating the business strategy and pulling the levers of capability, process, ways of working, structure, talent to deliver the outcomes for the function. This will also require close collaboration with the global CoE’s and Finance BP’s.
- Support the development and execution of the integrated talent & functional capability plan using internal and external analysis to ensure we have the right talent to deliver the ambitions of the Tower today and tomorrow
- Lead initiatives to drive greater engagement across the Tower
- Deliver D&I agenda and interventions
- Partner with the key business collaborators and GBO Leaders to build high performing teams, line managers and create an environment which is clear on performance management.
- Support all core annual people processes for the Tower: P4G’s, talent reviews, calibration & the annual reward cycle.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Experience in working successfully with leaders and key partners – able to form relationships, coach, influence and challenge
- Experience working in cross functional and multi-cultural teams – with the ability to navigate a global matrix organisation
- Demonstrated record of delivering organsational initiatives
- Ability to use “HR data”, analysing to measure impacts, assessing OE plans, diagnosing trends and links to business performance outcomes.
- Ability to diagnose capability gaps and translate into the levers – learning, culture, process, ways of working and behaviours
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
Good understanding of Hungarian Labour Law and other relevant regulations
