Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Director is responsible for planning and overseeing human resources functional operations including talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, benefits, training, employee relations, and compliance within HR. This position collaborates with leadership to achieve company goals and objectives and support employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or similar field required.
  • Seven (7) or more years general HR experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years managerial experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Prior HRIS experience required. ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization’s mission and values.
  • Supports company goals, achieves objectives, and positively engages the workforce.
  • Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.
  • Key lead for the HRIS system to facilitate processing of HR programs and provide data and reporting on HR activities.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the infrastructure, CEO, and Leadership.
  • Develops and delivers internal staff communications.
  • Works closely with the Director of Compliance to support training and/or investigations.
  • Performs any needed investigations within the organization.
  • Coaches leaders on conflict resolution, process implementation and adherence, employee issues, etc.
  • Evaluates, selects and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services.
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and administration of payroll.
