Description:
DMSi is seeking an experienced HR professional to support our talented team. The HR & Event Coordinator plays a dual role in supporting HR initiatives and coordinating company events/activities. This position focuses on creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and aligned with DMSi’s goals. Responsibilities include handling various HR tasks, maintaining employee programs, and fostering our culture. The ideal candidate is a dynamic team player who enjoys planning, collaboration, and process improvements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong critical thinking skills and decision-making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
Proactive and self-motivated team player.
UKG experience is a plus.
Availability for occasional evenings and weekends when necessary.
Ability to travel, including air and car rental.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience in event planning and employee engagement. Degree in Human Resources, Event Management, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, plan, and execute company events and activities.
- Manage event logistics, vendor selections/relationships, budget, and contract negotiations.
- Evaluate event outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Plan and facilitate team-building activities to strengthen workplace engagement.
- Promote event participation across the organization, championing DMSi core values.
- Manage the onboarding process, including introducing new team members to DMSi core values.
- COBRA administration & leave of absence tracking.
- Create, configure, and maintain HR SharePoint Site.
- Manage, execute, and deliver DMSi’s corporate wellness program.
- Conduct employee surveys to identify areas of improvement.
- Assist with the recruiting process (scheduling interviews, attending on-campus activities, etc.).
- Promote DMSi through various channels in the community.
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
