HR EXECUTIVE

HR
Gekko is recruiting for a HR executive to join the HR/Personnel team. This opportunity is suited to a team member looking to further their career within a growing and diverse organisation based at our Head Office in central Newbury.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of confidentiality and data protection, diversity, equality & inclusivity (DEI), basic HR procedures and/or employment law and a genuine interest in building and supporting a high performance culture through effective learning and development programmes and good employee relations.
Reporting into the HR Manager, the focus of this role is to support the HR department to provide an effective, people-focused and professional approach to all employees across the Gekko Group.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

The core responsibilities of this position will be:

  • Working alongside the Recruitment team to support the introduction of new staff
  • Coordinating on-boarding experiences for new recruits
  • Assist with review and update of company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and evolving Personal Development Plans
  • Managing the full cycle with regards to employment references
  • Recording and monitoring staff absence and analysing trends
  • Communicating and administering benefit schemes to employees and providers
  • Assist and facilitate Learning and Development activities

The HR Executive role will be perfect for you if you:

  • Have experience in Google Workspace along with exposure to Microsoft Office
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Possess both excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can demonstrate an ability to prioritise along with an adaptable approach to meet deadlines
  • Exposure of HR and DEI and a genuine interest in developing in the area of HR and Learning & Development
  • Experience within a Recruitment, Personnel or administrative function in a customer focused role is advantageous
