Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position ensures efficient human resources processes across the College in collaboration with the Manger of Business Services & Operations and the Associate Dean. This position will coordinate HR processes and enforce policies to support CONHI’s Business Services & Operations team and academic departments and operating units to ensure HR operations are organized, systematic, efficient, and follow university guidelines. The role is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing HR functions, including faculty applicant packets, approvals, and processing (T/TT and NTT), creating, and tracking of HR reports, reviewing, and updating internal processes to ensure consistent alignment with university policies. This position formally reports to the Manager of Business Services & Operations while working closely with the Associate Dean of Administrative Affairs and departmental managers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree with four (4) years’ experience in human resources, business, or related field. Or more than 10 years of equivalent combination of experience and education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree with six (6 )years’ experience in human resources, business, or related field. Proven success working in an HR department.
  • SHRM certified.
  • Experience with UTA systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Solid attention to detail.
  • Excellent MS Office skills and computing skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and knowledge of HR procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of national and state laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems

CONHI Recruitment, Position Changes and Onboarding:

  • Partner with hiring manager/search chair and Talent Culture and Engagement (TCE) to review needs and prepare appropriate documents, including current and updated/revised job descriptions, job postings and other documents per CONHI and UTA policies.
  • Collaborate with TCE to post positions within PeopleAdmin and other advertising mediums. Navigate candidates through the PeopleAdmin cycle. Partner and liaise with UTA Talent, Culture and Engagement Teams to ensure needs of hiring manager/search chair are being met. Train faculty and staff on PeopleAdmin.
  • Prepare paperwork, including background check request, bio sheets, and other documents for smooth new-hire onboarding process in partnership with Hiring Manager and TCE.Responsible for exit interviews and reviewing departmental initiated HR eForms (human resources information systems (HRIS))

Administration Creation, Auditing and Reviewing of HR Files:

  • As new faculty and staff are hired and terminated, ensure electronic personnel files are reflected with all updated documents and information.
  • Create rubric and develop a quarterly audit up to 30 files to ensure all documents are included in individual’s electronic files to ensure the accuracy so that as leadership, chairs, and accreditors access files, all documents are available in an organized and systemic fashion.
