The HR Generalist will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence in services including all payroll related operational activities for HR and HR processes for 150 employees in Germany and NL including manufacturing in line with the overall segment HR strategy and global/regional HR strategy, ensuring full control, efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, in line with internal policies, compliance with external statutory regulations and other legal requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities, act as an employee advocate & counsellor to ensure that employee concerns are promptly addressed and resolved in accordance with company values, policies and/or practices
- Responsible for end to end payroll processing including shift allowances, pension benefits across Germany, Netherlands payroll via ADP
- Responsible for operational issues and supporting the HR Manager and HR Business Partner with operational activities and strategic projects
- Provide guidance to internal business clients (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to foster productive working relationships, increase employee engagement, motivation, productivity and retention
- Lead or support local HR projects (continuous improvement process, onboarding programmes/welcome day, case management, employer branding, terms and conditions, etc.)
- Ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding process from A to Z
- Provide guidance and recommendations for resolution of departmental issues and individual grievances
- Review data feeds from the HR system and ADP, ensuring that fixed data changes are made in the payroll system and that data remains consistent between the two systems
- Support HR related reporting monthly or as requested and maintain payroll records by collecting, calculating and inputting data including but not limited to sickness, holiday and other accrued leave
- Act as a role model for our culture and drive change management / culture shaping in line with the Corp. Arxada culture
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc / vocational training in business administration, psychology or a human resources related field
- Fluent in German, English and Dutch
- Previous experience (at least 5 years) as an HR Generalist in an international, matrixed environment
- Sound business acumen in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of German and NL employment and labor laws
- Solid experience in payroll legislation for the Netherlands and Germany
- Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude
