HR Generalist

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile HR Generalist with a focus on BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) and Health and Safety coordination. This role encompasses a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance with SARS returns, and the management of timesheets. Additionally, the HR Generalist will play a critical role in BEE initiatives, skills development, and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of HR processes and South African labour legislation.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING:

• Implement and manage skills development initiatives, ensuring employees have access to training and development opportunities in line with business needs.
• Track training progress and assist in identifying gaps in skills and competencies.
• Work with managers to ensure that training supports career development and internal promotions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to BEE compliance, Health and Safety, and skills development.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of South African labour law, BEE regulations, Health and Safety standards, and HR best practices.
• Skills: Strong command of the English language is essential, a deep understanding of interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities,
• Certifications: BEE Accreditation or related certifications, Health and Safety training, and any HR certifications are advantageous.
• Drivers License: Valid drivers license essential.
